THE ACT OF BEING
We were hurt right from the start!
Now we’re in the middle of a war,
And you think you can make things right?
We were bruised right at the heart,
A little law, for a senseless inhumane course,
You stopped us from entering the open door,
And you still wonder why we fight?
I wish I could go back to when I first loved myself!
Because that little boy I knew had more than just a couple of dreams!
Until you came and said It wasn’t good enough—
You don’t have a clue where that left me!
