Professor Ransford Gyampo, the shamed Political Science lecturer at the University of Ghana says the university has never investigated him for sexual harassment.
Well, it’s about time the university did!
Sexual harassment exploits power imbalance and voicelessness; it negatively impacts the lives of victims, their families and reputation of institutions.

Professor Gyampo and his fellow alleged sexual predators, Dr Paul Kwame Butakor and Dr Boniface Igbeneghu of the University of Lagos abound and continue to perpetuate their evils; in many cases leaving their victims with lasting mental, emotional and psychical scars.
Watching the BBC Africa Documentary, “Sex for Grades” put together by Nigerian Journalist, Kiki Mordi and her team, it wasn’t hard to notice the similar tactics of these men.
Tactics we must shine a light on in these times to help us all see sexual predators— or predators of any kind— for what they are and stand up against their acts when they show up in our spaces:
